Financial, Insurance & Refund Policy

Effective Date: July 21, 2026

Stoic Dental is committed to providing clear information regarding insurance, membership benefits, payments, and refunds.

Dental Insurance

Stoic Dental participates with many dental insurance plans.

Because insurance plans and benefits vary, patients should contact Stoic Dental and their insurance provider to confirm participation and coverage.

Stoic Dental will make reasonable efforts to:

  • Verify available benefits

  • Provide treatment estimates

  • Submit insurance claims

  • Include appropriate claim documentation

  • Assist patients with insurance questions

Insurance verification and estimates are not guarantees of coverage or payment.

Insurance companies may deny a claim, limit payment, apply deductibles, exclude services, or pay less than estimated.

The patient or financially responsible party is responsible for charges not paid by insurance, except where otherwise required by law or an applicable insurance agreement.

Treatment Recommendations

Stoic Dental’s treatment recommendations are based on the dentist’s professional evaluation of the patient’s oral health.

Insurance coverage does not determine which treatment is clinically appropriate.

Patients will have the opportunity to discuss treatment options and financial considerations before proceeding with care.

Membership Plan

Stoic Dental offers an in-house membership plan for eligible patients without dental insurance.

The membership plan is not dental insurance.

The plan is intended to include certain dental cleanings, examinations, and X-rays, along with a 25% discount on qualifying treatment related to cavities and replacing missing teeth.

Exact benefits, fees, exclusions, renewal terms, cancellation terms, and eligibility requirements are governed by the written membership agreement provided at enrollment.

If website information conflicts with the written membership agreement, the membership agreement will control.

Payments

Patients are responsible for providing accurate insurance information and paying applicable deductibles, copayments, non-covered services, and remaining balances.

Payment requirements will be explained before treatment whenever reasonably possible.

Refunds and Account Credits

Refund requests will be reviewed based on the patient’s account, insurance payments, services provided, and any costs already incurred.

Refunds may be considered for:

  • Duplicate payments

  • Confirmed patient overpayments

  • Confirmed insurance overpayments

  • Account credits remaining after insurance processing

  • Prepaid treatment that was not provided

  • Billing errors

Approved refunds will generally be returned to the original payment method when reasonably possible.

Completed dental services are not automatically eligible for a refund. Treatment concerns will be reviewed individually by Stoic Dental.

Custom Dental Work

Some services involve custom dental appliances, materials, or outside laboratory costs.

Patients may remain responsible for costs already incurred after custom work or laboratory fabrication has begun, even if treatment is later changed or canceled.

Any applicable deposit or nonrefundable cost should be explained before treatment begins.

Cancellations and Deposits

Any cancellation fees, no-show fees, appointment deposits, or prepayment requirements will be communicated by Stoic Dental before they apply.
